About Us

Yapı Yol-İş is an independent class-based trade union affiliated with the TÜM İŞ Confederation and organized within Construction Sector No. 13.

Construction workers are among those exposed to some of the harshest working conditions in the production process. For this reason, our union aims to build an organized force on construction sites and across all areas of the construction industry, placing the historical interests of the working class at the center of its struggle.

Our union defends not only the economic demands of the working class, but also its social and political existence. The position of construction workers in the production process gives them strategic importance in relation to capital. Turning this potential into organized power contributes to strengthening the broader struggle of the working class.

Yapı Yol-İş bases its struggle on confronting subcontracting, insecure employment and fatal workplace accidents, which directly affect the lives of construction workers.

We organize on construction sites, dams, bridges, roads and infrastructure projects to strengthen the unity and solidarity of the working class.

Under the umbrella of the TÜM İŞ Confederation, our union works together with sister unions organizing in different sectors to defend the common interests of the working class. This unity is a response to the fragmentation of workers and a step toward strengthening the labor movement.
